Introduction

The SEMMSF, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that help to raise funds through Events, Raffles and our one big ride, Brian’s Ride.  The Fund helps those directly involved in a motorcycle accident.  These monies are used for the families of a fallen or downed rider to help offset the costs associated with the motorcycle accident or the death of the motorcyclist.  The funds are also used for promoting motorcycle safety and awareness and for education to help prevent motorcycle related accidents and fatalities.

The applicant in need fills out the Affidavit for Assistance and submits it to the BOD of the SEMMSF, Inc. for review.   At that time, the BOD goes over the application and sets up a time to meet with the motorcyclists and or the families.  Everyone is contacted to set up a meeting by the BOD no matter what you ride, club/group/affiliation that you represent…everyone is given the same consideration.

At the time of the initial meeting, we sit down with the applicant and go over the information submitted on the application.  Sometimes, there is suggestions/advice or direction that the BOD may offer to the applicant to make sure they have exhausted all of their options.  Once this is done, the BOD will then sit down one more time and review the application in a closed meeting.  At this time, the BOD discusses the severity of the application and votes on the amount of money to assist the applicant.  Note that no monies are given to the applicant.  All agreed upon bills are sent directly to the Treasurer and checks will be sent from the allotted amount of funds approved by the BOD.

If you would like to apply for assistance, please complete the following application and mail it to:

SEMMSF, Inc PO Box 44, Abington, MA 02351-0044.

You can also email it to contact@semmsf.org, or submit it to one of our BOD members.  Please do not hesitate to contact one of our BOD members for assistance in completing this application if needed.

After submission and BOD review, The Secretary will contact you for a meeting at your convenience.  The meeting will consist of the applicant and his/her family, and 3 SEMMSF Board of Directors.
